Ubisoft has announced the mobile version of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, the action platformer that debuted on consoles and PC. It reaches iOS and Android on 14 April, and pre-registration is already open in the stores.

The full game, adapted for phones

According to the studio, the mobile edition includes all the content and features of the original. On top of that come phone-specific changes: redesigned menus, touch controls, external controller support and a steady 60 FPS on most current phones and tablets.

Three ways to play

At the start you choose between three styles: the original, one adapted for mobile and a more relaxed one. There are also assists you can switch on at any time:

  • Automatic potion use.
  • Auto-attack when you get close to an enemy.
  • Automatic parrying.
  • A shield that absorbs one hit.
  • Adjustable game speed, down to 75%.

How you buy it

The app can be downloaded and tried for free; the full game is unlocked with an in-app purchase. Ubisoft hasn't confirmed the price yet.
